Tank vs Tankless

Tank or tankless? The math is simple.

A traditional tank water heater lasts 8-12 years. A tankless system lasts 20+ years, uses 30-50% less energy, and never floods your garage when it dies. The upfront cost is higher — tankless installs run $2,500-5,000 vs $1,200-2,500 for tank — but the math works out over a decade.

That said, tank water heaters aren't dead. They still make sense for budget-driven replacements, rental properties, or homes with low hot-water demand. We'll spec the right system for your house, your usage, and your budget. No upselling tankless to someone who'll never use it.

And before either conversation: if your unit is under 8 years old and the problem is a leaking valve or a bad heating element, we can probably repair it for under $200.
